Initial Thoughts

Straight out of the box, the A11N net looked like it was built to handle some serious play. The frame is heavy-duty and has a rust-resistant powder coating which made me feel that it would easily handle outdoor elements.ย

One of my first thoughts was that this net seems way more expensive than it actually isโ€”other nets Iโ€™ve looked at in this price range just donโ€™t compare in build quality.

With a regulation-size of 22 feet wide and standing 36 inches at the sidelines and 34 inches in the center, itโ€™s exactly what I was looking for for playing with friends and organizing some local more competitive games.

Quick Assembly

One of the best parts of the A11N is how simple it is to set up. It did take us about an hour, but watching the assembly video helped make things clear, and the instructions were straightforward.ย

Some online reviewers mentioned they had minor issues with misaligned holes, but I didnโ€™t run into any problems like that. The parts fit together perfectly, and itโ€™s nice to see that A11N put some real thought into the assembly process.ย

Once everything was in place, the net felt solid and ready for action!

Portability

The biggest selling point of the A11N net for me is its portability. With six caster wheels that lock in place, moving it around is effortless, even for one person. I could easily roll it across the court and lock it down when I found the right spot.ย

This feature is so great for those who play at community centers or gyms where the net needs to be moved frequently. The wheels roll smoothly, which is a huge plus if youโ€™re playing on smooth surfaces like a gym floor.

Indoor & Outdoor Useย

After assembling the net, I took it out for a test on both a wooden gym floor and an outdoor court. Moving it across the gym floor was as smooth as butter with the caster wheels.

When I used it outside, it rolled well on concrete and even managed on grass with a little extra effort. The wheels lock firmly into place on all surfaces, so I wasnโ€™t worried about it shifting mid-game.

Anti-Sag Design

If you’ve ever played with a net that starts to sag halfway through a match, you know how frustrating it can be. The A11N addresses this problem head-on with its hand winch system that allows you to adjust the tension of the net.

I could quickly tighten it, and it stayed perfectly straight throughout my entire session. This anti-sag feature is great for competitive players who want a consistently taut net without constantly having to make adjustments.

Stability

While the portability and anti-sag feature make this net stand out, the stability factor is what convinced me to first try it. The frame is thick and sturdy with wide legs and its unique bent design adds extra balance. Even on windy days, it didnโ€™t budge! ย

The A11N also provides two empty bags that you can fill with sand for added stability if needed. I havenโ€™t had to use them yet, but itโ€™s nice to have that option if youโ€™re planning on using it outdoors where wind could be an issue.

How Does It Hold Up Over Time?

In terms of durability, Iโ€™m impressed. The rust-resistant powder coating means I can leave it outside without worrying about weather damage. Iโ€™ve had it for a few months now, and so far, it shows no signs of wear.ย

Iโ€™ve seen some other nets that cost more but donโ€™t offer this kind of longevity. A couple of other players at my court whoโ€™ve used it were also surprised at how well itโ€™s holding up, especially considering the price.

Weather Resistance Test

Since I wanted to know if the net would hold up outside in different weather conditions, I left it up in the sun and light rain a few times.

Thanks to the rust-resistant powder coating, there was no sign of damage, and the net stayed just as tight after exposure. This makes it a solid choice if you plan on using it primarily outdoors.

Maintenance Tips

To keep the net in top shape, I recommend wiping down the frame after outdoor sessions, especially if itโ€™s been in contact with moisture or dust.

The powder-coated frame doesnโ€™t need much upkeep, but a quick clean can help prevent any buildup. I also suggest checking the hand winch occasionally to make sure it stays smooth and functional over time.

Customer Support and Warranty

A big plus that often gets overlooked is the 12-month warranty on the net posts and a 6-month warranty on the net itself.ย

From what Iโ€™ve seen in other reviews, the support team is helpful if anything goes wrong. One reviewer mentioned that Harper from customer support quickly replaced their net after a minor issue, so itโ€™s good to know that A11N backs up their product with solid service.ย

For a piece of gear that youโ€™ll be moving around a lot, having a warranty is reassuring, and itโ€™s great to know that the company stands by its product.

Ease of Storage

One thing I was concerned about was how much space this net would take up in storage. Luckily, it breaks down into parts that fit snugly into a carrying bag (included). While itโ€™s a bit heavy to lift, the compact design makes it manageable to tuck away in a garage or equipment room.

Pros and Cons Recap

If youโ€™re thinking about buying the A11N 22ft Pro Pickleball Net, hereโ€™s a quick summary of what I found:

Pros:

  • It’s easy to move: The six caster wheels make this net extremely portable, great for both gym floors and outdoor courts.
  • Anti-sag feature: The hand winch system keeps the net tight and straight, which is a huge plus for serious players.
  • Super sturdy frame: The heavy-duty, rust-resistant frame and wide legs ensure the net stays stable, even on windy days.
  • Great value for the price: This net feels like it should cost more than it does, especially given the durability and build quality.
  • Strong warranty and customer support: The peace of mind from the warranty and responsive support team is a big bonus.

Cons:

  • Medium assembly time: While straightforward, it did take us about an hour to set up. Not a dealbreaker, but something to consider if youโ€™re looking for a super quick setup.
  • Medium weight: Itโ€™s definitely on the heavier side, which is a trade-off for its stability. The weight isnโ€™t an issue with the wheels, but lifting it might be challenging for some.

How Does It Compare To Other Portable Pickleball Nets?

To give you a better idea of how the A11N stacks up, I compared it to a couple of other popular nets at a similar price point.

Unlike some of the lighter, cheaper models, the A11N doesnโ€™t tip over easily on windy days, thanks to its sturdy frame and wide legs. Iโ€™ve tried nets in the past that either lacked wheels or didnโ€™t come with an anti-sag featureโ€”both of which made a huge difference here.

While a few competitors might offer lighter models, the stability and ease of movement with the A11N really make it worth the price.

So, Is the A11N 22ft Pro Pickleball Net Worth It?

After putting this net through its paces, Iโ€™d say the A11N 22ft Pro Pickleball Net is one of the best options out there for players who want a high-quality, portable net without breaking the bank.ย

Whether youโ€™re using it for casual games or more competitive play, it ticks all the boxes: durable, easy to move, and designed to stay taut during the game.

At less than $300, itโ€™s not cheap, but youโ€™re definitely getting your moneyโ€™s worth. For anyone on the lookout for the best portable pickleball net, the A11N is worth every penny. I’m excited to keep using it for years to come!
